What Do They Do?

Needs Analysis & Solution Design: Listens to processes, identifies the appropriate integration type
(IDoc, RFC, REST, SOAP, EDI, etc.); communicates with business units and IT.

Technical Development: Builds mapping, routing, and transformation scenarios on SAP PI/PO or CPI; develops custom functions with Java, Groovy, XSLT.

Security & Compliance: Provides encryption, certificates, authentication, access controls, logging, and ensures compliance with GDPR/ KVKK.

Testing & Go-Live: Performs end-to-end validation, reduces risks in production.

Support & Optimization: Monitors and improves performance/errors in live systems.
What Should an Integration Consultant Know?
- Knowledge of SAP PI/PO and SAP Integration Suite (CPI)
- Proficiency in EDI, IDoc, XML, JSON, CSV formats
- Experience with REST, SOAP, JDBC, SFTP, AS2 protocols
- Security: certificates, OAuth, token management, encryption
- Knowledge of network, infrastructure, clustering, high-availability (HA), load balancing, and TCP/UDP basics
- Ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical language
- Strong communication and customer orientation
